Oct. 8 (Bloomberg) — Former Bank of England policy maker David Blanchflower said it was too soon to cut Britainâ€™s deficit and its debt. â€œClearly you need to control the debt, but now?,â€ he said in an interview with Bloomberg Television today. â€œI donâ€™t really think so.â€
Blanchflower also said the aim of quantitative easing was to raise some asset prices and to restore confidence.
