Clunkerman,
I admit I am making a few assumptions here, but Kelly Blue Book lists the private party sale value of the 2001 Durango with 100K miles as 5,700 in “good” shape. Trade in value in “good” shape is about $4100. Why was 4,500 such a great deal for you?

I saw that also, however, one would probably have to go to a Dodge dealer. Toyota said Chrysler is in bankruptcy and they did not want the cars and would only give scrap value.
At first I wanted a 4Runner but did not qualify as a clunker exchange, missed by 1 mpg. The Highlander put me at the top amount. Does that help?
